Please pardon the delay- video of the slides was not recorded during the presentation, and so it had to be manually reconstructed using video editing software, and that took some time.

The presentation is split into two videos; parts 1 and 2, which discusses the role hospitals play in facilitating the spatial and informational needs of healthcare work, and part 3, which explores the design in detail.

Find the videos embedded below as well as permanently stored on the presentation slides page.

After a few weeks of work, we are very happy today to be launching the Futureward website.

Futureward is an extensive project that’s tough to explain to in a short amount of time. We wanted to make this website so that people we speak to have a resource to learn about the entire project, even if we’re not able to explain the whole thing face-to-face.

What can you expect to see here? Well, we’ll mainly be sharing any media related to the project- images, videos, presentations, and anything else we make- as well as providing news about project progress. As with the project itself, this site will be continuously evolving. Be sure to check in often to see what’s new.

Although the site is going live today, we’ve been keeping track of Futureward-related news for a while now. Be sure to check the archives to see what we’ve been up to.

The slides presented at the March 8th CICC GIM Symposium are now available, both embedded on this site and over at Slideshare.

If you were able to attend the presentation, the slides should help jog your memory about the small (but interesting!) details about the project that might have slipped your mind by now.

If you weren’t at the presentation, the slides are definitely the most in-depth explanation of the Futureward project that we can provide so far, so be sure to check them out. However, the slides were made to accompany a speaker, and are a bit cryptic when viewed solo. Not to worry, though- an annotated version should be posted here within the next weeks. Watch this space.

I have been asked to asked to speak about Futureward at the CICC’s upcoming annual GIM Symposium. This is the third year the symposium has taken place, and it this year the projected attendance will be over 200 people. Futureward has not yet been presented to such a large crowd, so this promises to be a great opportunity to spread the word about the need for anticipatory design.

Slides and video from the presentation will be posted here as soon as possible, so be sure to check in.
